Mushroom Pepper masala recipe – Quick, healthy and tasty mushroom pepper masala to serve with roti or rice. It can also be used as stuffing to sandwiches or wraps. The unique taste comes from slow cooking method and aromatic pepper powder that is used. Perfect for winters to serve with hot rice and ghee or hot roti or naan. Mushroom Pepper Masala is a south Indian mushrooms recipe spiced with fresh ground pepper and fennel powder.


  1. Powder saunf and pepper together. Set aside
  2. Saute garlic and cumin in oil until they begin to smell good
  3. Add tomatoes, salt and turmeric.
  4. Cook until the tomato mixture turns thick and soft
  5. Saute capsicum, chilies and onions on a medium high flame until the raw smell of onion is gone.
  6. Saute mushrooms for 2 to 3 minutes
  7. Add crushed pepper saunf and curry leaves. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes
  8. Cover and cook at lower heat until mushrooms are done
  9. Serve mushroom pepper fry with roti or rice or stuff to wraps or sandwiches.
