Capsicum Cheese Toast Sandwich

Directions


  1. In a bowl, add 2 tablespoon finely chopped onions/shallots, 3 tablespoon finely chopped tomatoes, ¼ cup finely chopped capsicum/green bell peppers
  2. Add ½ cup tightly packed grated cheddar cheese
  3. Add seasonings – ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder or crushed black pepper, 1 teaspoon dry oregano, 1 teaspoon dry basil
  4. Mix everything. Check the taste and then add salt
  5. Spread butter on bread slices
  6. Spoon the capsicum tomato filling on half of slices
  7. Cover with remaining slices
  8. Grill or toast the sandwiches. Turnover carefully while toasting. Toast each side till golden and crisp
  9. Spread some butter on top of sandwiches if you want
  10. Serve cheese capsicum sandwiches with tomato ketchup or chili sauce
