Badam milk/Almond milk is considered as one of the most nutritious drinks of all age groups. Almonds are called badam in Indian language. They are energizing and balancing. The traditional badam milk recipe is made after soaking them and boiling the milk. The healthiest way is to soak them for 6-8 hours and then prepare it. It has numerous health benefits. Soaked almonds are easily digestible and nutrients are better absorbed by the body. This almond milk is considered as old traditional Ayurveda secret to buildup immunity in kids, improve eye sight, build stronger bones, remove constipation and provide enough nutrition for picky eaters.


  1. Soak almonds for 6 hours.
  2. Peel the skin (Not peeling the skin can cause indigestion)
  3. Bring the milk to boil in a thick bottom pan on low-medium flame
  4. Add sugar, saffron and cardamom powder
  5. Grind almonds to smooth with little water or milk
  6. Can add saffron, sugar, cardamom powder to almonds if not added in step 2
  7. Make sure the mixture is smooth like cream and paste else it can irritate the throat while drinking
  8. When milk gets boiled, pour grinded almond mixture to boiling milk
  9. Keep stirring else milk can smell burnt
  10. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes
  11. Switch off the stove
  12. Filter the milk and remove granules before serving to kids.
  13. Keep it in refrigerator for no more than 2 days if wanted.
